Delhi has moved its National Lok Adalat from March 14 to March 22, 2026, after the Delhi High Court declared March 14 a court sitting day. Token booking details are being reissued. Noida still allows same-day walk-in on March 14. Here is the full updated picture. 

Vehicle owners in Delhi received a last-minute update this week. The first National Lok Adalat of 2026 will be held on National Lok Adalat in Delhi has been rescheduled from March 14 to Sunday, March 22, 2026. The Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) confirmed the change on March 10, citing a Delhi High Court order declaring March 14 a court sitting day for all district courts. The Lok Adalat will now be held on March 22 across all seven Delhi court complexes. Other states, including UP (Noida) and Haryana (Gurugram), continue with March 14.

The session will run from 10 AM to 4 PM at the district court complexes. Only compoundable traffic challans are eligible. Fines on qualifying challans have historically been reduced by 50% to 90%, depending on the offence, how old the challan is, and whether documents like PUC and insurance are currently valid.

Delhi: National Lok Adalat Moved to 22 March 2026 - New Token Booking Details Awaited 

The Delhi State Legal Services Authority cancelled the March 14 Lok Adalat on March 10, 2026, after the Delhi High Court’s Registrar General declared March 14 a court sitting day for all district courts. The rescheduled date is Sunday, March 22, 2026. The Lok Adalat will be held across all seven Delhi court complexes. New token booking instructions for March 22 are expected to be issued shortly by DSLSA. Previous tokens booked for March 14 are likely to be cancelled and fresh booking will be required.

Walk-in cases are not accepted at any Delhi court complex. If you do not have a printed token and appointment slip, you will not be allowed to present your case. 

Only challans that are pending on the Delhi Traffic Police portal and forwarded to the Virtual Court on or before October 31, 2025, are eligible for this session. 

The Lok Adalat will be held across seven court complexes in Delhi: 

  • Tis Hazari Courts Complex 
  • Karkardooma Courts Complex 
  • Patiala House Courts Complex 
  • Rohini Courts Complex 
  • Saket Courts Complex 
  • Dwarka Courts Complex 
  • Rouse Avenue Courts Complex

Noida: Walk-In Allowed on Lok Adalat Day 

Vehicle owners in Noida (Gautam Buddha Nagar) have a practical advantage this time. No prior online booking is required. Challans can be presented on the same day as the Lok Adalat. Simply carry your printed challan, valid vehicle documents, and reach Noida District Court by 9:30 AM on March 14. Noida’s date has not changed.

Queues at walk-in Lok Adalats tend to build early. Cases that arrive after noon may not be heard the same day. Carrying all documents in original is non-negotiable as digital copies are not accepted. 

Gurugram (Haryana): Offline Booking, Exact Timings Being Confirmed 

Haryana participates in the National Lok Adalat on the same date. However, Gurugram does not have an online booking system for traffic challans. Booking must be done in person at Gurugram District Court before March 14. Gurugram’s date remains March 14.

The exact offline booking dates and counter timings are being confirmed. Monitor the Gurugram District Court notice board and the Haryana SLSA website for the official announcement. 

What Challans Are Eligible?

The Lok Adalat can only settle compoundable traffic offences. These include: 

  • Overspeeding and speed camera challans 
  • Red light or signal jumping 
  • No helmet (two-wheeler riders) 
  • No seatbelt 
  • Parking violations 
  • Expired or missing PUC certificate 
  • Missing insurance documents 
  • Wrong lane driving or no number plate 

Not Eligible: drunk driving, hit-and-run cases, FIR-linked accident challans, and challans issued in another state. 

Documents to Carry (Physical Copies Only) 

Court officials do not accept digital copies. There are no printing facilities at any court complex. Carry physical printouts of the following: 

  • Printed Lok Adalat token and appointment slip (Delhi and Gurugram — mandatory) 
  • Challan printout 
  • Original RC (Registration Certificate) 
  • Original Driving Licence 
  • Valid PUC certificate 
  • Valid insurance policy
